SANTA LAMP

Post by maria »

Wish I knew more about this tag sale find of a few years ago; the owner said it was from the 70's--it's made of a strange kind of plastic--the base is hard but the plastic has a styrene-ish feel; the shade is a lighter weight plastic with six panels--three of which have hand painted and incised Santa Claus motifs on the inside of the shade. It comes alive when lit.

Cool, Maria. Do you suppose it's European. Much more tasteful than most plastic stuff made on or ordered from this continent.

It does seem European but no maker's mark; I even removed the felt on the bottom of the lamp in the hopes of finding something--nada!

I do love it though.
