Looking for something like Belmont Treelighter Stand

Post by paulrace »

A reader writes:

Hi there - I am interested in getting the antique tree lighting stand - the Belmont (as shown on your page) dec below.

"This is the Belmont Treelighter Stand, and was first sold in 1926. It is a big stand, which includes four light sockets with aluminum reflectors for standard base light bulbs as well as two plugs for tree lights."

The source referred to is this page:

Here's a picture of the thing:

Here's our response:

Thanks for getting in touch. We don't actually sell any of the lighting products shown on the Old Christmas Tree Light pages. They were actually from other people's collections and were just photographed and described for historical purposes.

I'm forwarding your note to Fred Fox, a friend who sells vintage Christmas decorations in case he has come across one of these or something similar. I'm also going to post it on the Old Christmas Tree Lights forum page so other readers can see it and get ahold of me if they have one. Then I'll get ahold of you. Best of luck in your search,

Paul

Hi Paul, there are a number of these for sale on ebay. Some with three lights and some with four lights. The cheapest one I found was $17.99. The prices go up from there. I also found one in red that looked very nice.
